Religions quiz

Today in class we completed a quiz on the five major religions in the world which are Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, and Buddhism. I am disappointed in myself a I honestly forgot that we had a quiz in this class today so I came in unprepared. Mr. Schick gave us about 10 minutes for us study before he gave us the quiz. I feel like this helped partly but I still felt unprepared. I feel like I got around a 80 on this as they were multiple question that I did not know the answers to. Next time I need to make sure that I come to class prepared and remember that we have a quiz that day then I will do better.

Quizlet for quiz

Today in class we had a pretty interesting and fun class. First of Mr.Schick told us about his favorite parts of filming movies. He told us about the helicopter incident in which the helicopter crashed into his car and he almost got severely injured. Then Sam let us use here quizlet to help us study for the quiz. We spent a good part of class completing the quizlet with mr.schick going through it with us. Then, Mr. Schick told us about Mcauley Kulkin, the boy in Home Alone. He told us about he was his special assistant and then he gave him a valentine. Today's class was very interesting and I like hearing about his movie career

World Religions

Today in class we learned about the five major world religions. They are, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Islam, these five world religions make up a good bit of the worlds population. We had to take notes on the religions like how many people adhere to it. Who is their founder, and much more. Tomorrow we are going to use the CIA World Factbook to try and find out more about these religions. We will have a short 20 question quiz in this topic on Monday and I feel like I will do a good job on it as I payed attention and took good notes.

Tests returned

Today in class got our tests back, before class I knew that I got a 98 based off of what Veracross said. This made me very happy as I am very proud of that grade. In class, we went over the test for pretty much the whole time. Each person was selected to answer each question going down the line of people in desk order and test question order. The only question that I got wrong on the test was about in which region of the world the population might be decreasing. I said Eastern Asia with thinking about Japan and China and all those countries. But, it ended up being Europe as they have many countries that will have population decreasing over the years to come.

Population and Migration test

Today in class we took the test on population, migration, ad population pyramids. I thought that the test was pretty easy and I feel pretty confident about how I did on it. Not many problems tripped me up, as a matter of fact, I don't think I had many problems on any questions. I am assuming that I am still going to get a few questions wrong just based off of my luck but I cannot recall any ones that i thought that I got wrong. The 10 minutes that Mr.Schick gave to us at the beginning of class really helped to be able to recall what the test was on since I forgot that we had it today. Overall, I feel pretty confident about today's test and I am expecting an A.

Listening to more presentations

Today in class we listened to the last presentation on our solution projects. The group did Italy and Tanzania. For Italy they explained how some of their wealth and GDP comes from underground economies. Underground economies is money that cannot be taxed on because the government does not know about it because the transactions are not legal. Their reasoning for Tanzania was very interesting in my opinion. The reasoning that they gave was that the drinking water in the country is not very plentiful and can be sparse at times. We then looked at how the top city in Tanzania which was Dar es Salaam. Mr. Schick then showed us pictures on the city and it matched up pretty similarly to some European and Asian cities.

Presenting Solution Projects

In class today we presented our project on Vietnam and Japan. I feel that it went pretty smoothly. I presented the title slide. I gave a general overview of why we chose Japan and Vietnam. Japan was chosen because the population has been steadily declining for many years as the average age for the population is increasing steadily. We chose Vietnam because they have been recovering from the Vietnam war for many years. The country is getting closer to becoming a post-industrialized. I think that this project went well and I enjoy doing this type of project. I enjoy being able to socialize with people on certain topics.
