1. direct democracy- a form of government in which citizens rule directly and not through representatives
classical art- The values of harmony, order, balance, and proportion became the standard of what is classical art
tragedy- a serious drama bout common themes such as love, hate, war, or betrayal
comedy- contained scenes filled with slapstick situations and crude humor
Peloponnesian War- A war between the two city-states, Athens and Sparta
Philosopher- means lovers of wisdom in greek language
Socrates- One of the critic sophists that believed in truth and justice
Plato- a student of socrates was in his late 20's when socrates was killed
Aristoltle- questioned the nature of the world and of human belief, thought, and knowledge

2. I believe that Perciles' plan to strengthen the athenian democracy effect on world history. I believe this because when the athenian democracy was strengthened then it set a precedent for the rest of the world and future civilizations on how to run a government

3. In order to strengthen to democracy of Athens Pericles'; increased the number of officials who had paid salaries, in a speech honoring Athenian war heroes Pericles mentioned the Athenian democracy during the speech drawing attention to the democracy.

5. I believe that Greek citizens would be upset with Socrates and his teachings because he was supposedly going up against the teachings of the gods which was what the Greeks believed to be true, the teachings of the gods. As well as the Greeks thinking that he was corrupting the youth which eventually become their future.
