Sub

Today in class we had a sub we had a sub who was Dr. Gallen which was a pleasant surprise since I Love Dr. Gallen as a teacher. Mr. Schick had us watch a 54 minute and I some other work to do si I finished what I had left to finish watching during my off mod. the video was pretty interesting and I though that it was a good Segway into learning more about ancient Greece during this time period and I look forward to learning more.

First Day of School

Today was overall a good day for me as I was able to find my way around the school pretty easily and make new some friends. One really good thing about the day was how friendly all the teachers and other students were towards me. When I was confused my questions were always answered and I was always helped. Also I was able to talk to some of the sports caches and they were able to tell me a little more about their programs. The worst part about the first day was not really knowing where to go or what to do with free mod. For most of it I sat in the learning commons on my laptop. I'm sure that there is more that I can do during that time, I'm just not sure what that is yet. One thing that I enjoy about my seat my class is that I am in the front of the room which allows me to stay focused and not get off topic during class. Agora- A gathering place in ancient Greece where athletics, assemblies, and political gatherings occurred Polis- A close and welcoming Greek community that had their own set of rules usually in a small town or in the country. Origin of the word politics, metropolitan, poll 508 BC- In that year democracy was introduced in ancient Greece. Changes the way Greek culture was operated. First time people revolted against their leaders. 1. The median age on the world is 30.6 years. This fact shows that the population of the world is filled with a lot of people that are young in age. With this fact you can conclude that the world's population will rise within this generation 2. 91.1 percent of people have access to drinking water. This fact surprises me because this means that almost 10 percent of the world don't have access to drinking water. Water is very essential to human life as well 3. 17,500 dollars in GDP per capita. This fact is important because to us and other well developed countries this does not seem like much at all. But in some cases this what people live on and support their families. 4. 43.57 million barrels of crude oil exports per day. This fact shows just how the world and mostly developed countries depend on oil from the ground.
