twelve tables

The Twelve Tables were a big piece of Ancient Rome's government. It was a big turning point for the Plebeians mainly as they now had a written law code that had to be followed. So they no longer could be taken advantage of so heavily. These laws knows as the Twelve Tables were hung ion the forum for everyone to see and they allowed everyone to have rights and protection from law. This was a good step for Plebeians as they know had something protecting their rights.
