Essay choice

For my essay I am going to do Choice A which "Compare and Contrast the government of ancient Rome with the government of the modern-day United states." I feel like this is a good question for me because I have a good bit knowledge about how the U.S government works and functions so if I review the study guide a bit more and text I shall be able to do the same with the Ancient Rome government as well. I think question will suit me well and I will be able to get a good grade on this essay.

5/11 assignment.

Through slides 9-12 most of it discusses the rule of Tarquin and his family who is involved in it. It discusses how he gain power through enforcement as well as how his family members such as Tullia, Sextus, and Lucretia. living under his rule was not very pleasant for the Roman citizens but the citizens rebelled against the family, expelling them from Rome.  Slides 13-22 discuss how the Roman government was ran. The rule of Kings was replaced by the rule of two consuls. The common people then overthrew that rule. This can relate to our government as citizens are not always happy with who our leaders are no matter who they might be which can relate Rome as explained in the PowerPoint.

First off I just want to say thank you. Not many teachers put this much effort into class and I think its really cool that you do. I thought the rap was very interesting. It was obviously to the tune of low by flo rida. I lime how instead of the chorus repeating low, it repeated Rome. The lyrics in the beginning were a bit hard to understand but then I started to understand them. Thank you again this is really cool

twelve tables

The Twelve Tables were a big piece of Ancient Rome's government. It was a big turning point for the Plebeians mainly as they now had a written law code that had to be followed. So they no longer could be taken advantage of so heavily. These laws knows as the Twelve Tables were hung ion the forum for everyone to see and they allowed everyone to have rights and protection from law. This was a good step for Plebeians as they know had something protecting their rights.

This piece of ancient Rome architecture appears a sort of government used back in ancient Roman society. It shows their use of pillars which is so famously known to be used in Roman architecture. It also appears to have some Greek writing on the front of building. Perhaps either describing what the building is or sending a message to the citizens of ancient Rome.
